The development and construction of the new firstsite gallery has been going on for years - and the local politics and opinion has not always been positive. So there is a real curiosity to what this new landmark building is actually going to be. A visit to the construction site was organised - helmets and wellies  compulsory - and it was very enjoyable to walk the vast interiour with its very different areas for future public programmes.
